This Sunday was one of those textbook Southern Ontario autumn days - it was one of those days that you measure all autumn days against. The sun was shining, it was mild but still brisk, and all your senses feel heightened.
I get so inspired on days like these that I almost can't decide what to do first, so I managed to try and do it all and not actually get anything fully accomplished: I made breakfast, read the paper (so a good start so far), took care of some nagging paperwork (but not all of it), started cleaning out the spare room, got dusty and disheartened so Michael & I went for a walk along the canal and it all made sense. We slowed down, appreciated the smell of fall in the air and realized that dusty rooms and paperwork would still be there, but a day like this wouldn't last long!
How do you like to appreciate a special day - even an afternoon away from your normal routine? Do you cook? Nap? Read? What is it that makes you remember such a day?
