100 pk disposable pastry bags

11.40 x 6.30 inch/29.00 x 16.00 cm total size

available at The Bay and thebay.com.

I gave up on fabric piping bags long ago (you can never clean them well enough, especially after a batch of salmon mousse goes into one!). I like to use disposable piping bags with structure, so that I can also use them to pipe muffin or cupcake batter. What is most important is that these piping bags can be re-used and recycled.

Reusable and recyclable, these clear piping bags are ideal for small piping tasks.

Ideal size for piping icings, frostings and fillings

  • Can be used with a piping tip by snipping the point and inserting the tip before filling the bag with icing
  • Can be used without a piping tip by filling the bag, then snipping the point and piping
  • Clear colour BPA free food grade PE (polyethylene) bags in 0.03 inch/0.8 mm thickness
  • Safe for temperatures up to 75°F/24°C
  • Disposable for no-mess clean up, but can be hand washed to be re-used or recycled
  • Dispenser box makes the bags easy to store and keeps them clean
  • Made in China

anna's top tips

  • To prevent your piping bag from leaking as you fill it, twist the bag just above the piping tip and push the twisted bit of the bag into the tip itself. This will hold in place as you fill the piping bag, and when it is time to pipe, all you have to do is release the twist.
  • There’s no need for a piping tip when drizzling glaze or caramel onto scones or squares. Fill the uncut piping bag and then make a small snip at the end and pipe away!
