high precision digital kitchen scale

available at The Bay.

Measuring ingredients using a scale is tidy and precise, and my preferred means for measuring. This digital scale is compact enough to fit into a kitchen drawer, but sturdy enough to hold a big bowl full of ingredients. My favourite feature? Minimal seams, so that flour won’t build up, and it is easy to clean.

Precise measures are assured with this reliable scale.

anna's top tips

  • Using the tare function really makes measuring by weight simple. Start by placing the bowl on the scale and hit the tare button on the right, then add your first ingredient. Hit the tare button after each addition, which sets the scale to zero for each addition…no math required.
  • Baking chocolate should always be measured by weight, since it is sold to us in different forms or shapes. If chopping from a block of chocolate, a volume measure might vary, but a gram is a gram, no matter what size the chopped chocolate or chips.
